Yourvision,deliveredintact.
Casient Keystone is a small DIN-rail unit in the plant-room rack. It joins the KNX bus, learns the building from the ETS project and runs the house locally, working alongside your draughtsperson, electrician and integrator. Every device and finish stays your choice.

Your drawings set the rules.
We fit the system to the design. The design is never changed to suit the system.
What the house could do, decided while it is still on paper.
The consult covers what automation makes possible and how it fits your vision. Drawing, wiring and installation stay with your draughtsperson, electrician and integrator. We work alongside them so the intent carries through.
Which rooms need one, which can run on presence, and where one keypad can replace a bank of switches.
The functions each room needs now, and the ones worth allowing for later.
How shading can respond to forecast heat, and what that means for the openings.
Which heating and cooling systems the integrator can control, so the services engineer's choice is never limited by the control system.
Which features can join the system, and how they work with the rest of the house.
Ask the integrator to confirm each scheduled appliance's control interface before it is ordered.
Plan every control position on your drawings.
We do not choose the devices. We help you plan the space for them, so the integrator's choices fit the design.

Decide early where people will expect a control, so the integrator can match keypads to your finish schedule.

Plan the reflected ceiling so sensors can sit beside the downlights and diffusers. Flush or surface is selected with the integrator from your finish schedule.

Allow a ventilated plant space at design development, so it is not found on site.
What goes on which drawing, and who owns it.
Where it appears in your drawings
Who shows what, and who is responsible for it.
What the plant space needs
- A dry, ventilated cupboard or room.
- A power point and a network data point inside it.
- A route for the KNX bus cable to reach it.
- Clear front access, with the door swing allowed for.
- Not in a hot roof space, or an unventilated joinery unit.
If a control moves after documentation
Moving a control after documentation means re-cabling, a new import of the ETS project and an update to the building model. Tell us early. It is far easier before rough-in.
Who is responsible for what
Life-safety systems stay with their certified systems. The integrator is responsible for the control programming. You are responsible for the positions and finishes you specify.
From concept to handover
- 01ConceptA consult on what the house could do.
- 02Design developmentAllow for positions and plant space.
- 03DocumentationWe check the automation intent is clear in your documents.
- 04Rough-inCabling to your drawings.
- 05CommissioningThe integrator programs and tests.
- 06HandoverA pack under the integrator's name, and the decision log.
A specification clause, to start from
Control system. Provide a KNX building control system, programmed by a KNX-certified integrator to the architect's lighting and comfort brief. Control positions and finishes are as scheduled by the architect. The integrator shall confirm the control interface of each scheduled appliance before ordering, provide the plant-space allowance as shown, and deliver commissioning records and a handover pack.
Where we are
One reference home on Sydney's Northshore. Keystone has run there since July 2025, and we are not yet in more. See the numbers →
